Jakarta, 10 March 2026 — SIP Law Firm issues an official clarification to the public regarding an alleged fraud scheme carried out by irresponsible parties misusing the name of one of SIP Law Firm’s Partners, Hanna Kathia Septianti, S.H.
Based on information obtained, certain individuals have been identified operating a WhatsApp and/or Facebook group named “Pusat Layanan Bantuan Korban Penipuan” (Fraud Victim Assistance Service Center) and using identities resembling those of legal professionals to communicate with members of the public. The group is suspected of being used to disseminate information and offer assistance to individuals who claim to be victims of fraud.
“SIP Law Firm firmly states that the account has no affiliation whatsoever with SIP Law Firm or with Hanna Kathia Septianti, S.H.,” said Zubaidah Jufri, Managing Partner of SIP Law Firm, on Tuesday (10/03/2026).
SIP Law Firm has also identified the circulation of an identification card bearing the name Hanna Kathia Septianti, S.H. as an advocate affiliated with PERADI (Indonesian Advocates Association). We emphasize that the card is not an official identification card and constitutes a false identity. Furthermore, the telephone number used by the parties involved is not the official number belonging to Hanna Kathia Septianti, S.H.
Accordingly, any form of communication, request for information, or request for funds made by parties claiming to represent Hanna Kathia Septianti, S.H. through these accounts or phone numbers does not represent the actions of SIP Law Firm and/or Hanna Kathia Septianti, S.H.
“SIP Law Firm urges the public to remain vigilant against various fraud schemes that misuse the identity of legal professionals, and to refrain from sharing personal data, documents, or transferring funds to parties whose legitimacy cannot be verified,” added Zubaidah.
